Welcome Brown’s Lake Lovers,
The 2024 lake season is here, as of 9am on Saturday, May 18th!
Memberships:
Throughout this season, you can sign up for your memberships here, at Quartzite Brewing, or with a gatekeeper at the lake. We appreciate Quartzite Brewery for their willingness to accept paperwork and fees as well; however, because the lake isn’t their primary business, please direct all questions and concerns regarding membership to Amanda (509-936-5049 - texts are preferred).
Workday:
This year, work day will be held from 9 am to Noon on Saturday, May 18, 2024. By helping to keep our lake clean and tidy, you will receive a $25 membership discount.
Helpful tools for Workday: Wheelbarrows, Shovels, Rakes, Gloves, Clippers, Loppers, Step ladders, Brush cutter, Chain saw, Trucks and don't forget your Bug Spray!
Child Safety:
Safety is a primary concern at Brown's Lake. Parents are responsible for their children's water safety. All children need to be supervised in the water, no matter what their swimming skill level. Children 5 and under who are not directly accompanied by an older teen or adult must wear a life jacket. See the BLRA rules for further information.
Stewards of the Lake:
The BLRA has worked hard to make the lake available to all of us for many years. One thing that stands out is that the Association works best when we all act cooperatively as stewards of the lake. That means taking personal responsibility for closing and locking the gates, creating minimal trash and leaving no trace, and greeting people who are new to the lake. If we all lend a hand collectively we can make a big difference. Please call the board members at the top of this page if you wish to volunteer for helping to improve this valuable resource.
See you at the lake,
Patrick Sawyer
